The Cincinnati Reds call up outfielder Chris Dickerson
The Cincinnati Reds have called up 25-year old lefty swinging Chris Dickerson to replace Adam Dunn on the roster. Dickerson was the #27 ranked prospect in the Reds’ system coming into the season according to Baseball America but he has really played well in AAA this year. Dickerson has played in 97 games in AAA-Ball this season and he is 100 for 349 (.287 avg, .863 OPS) with 65 runs scored, 11 homers, 53 RBIs and 26 stolen bases. Dickerson will likely get an extended audition in Cincinnati to prove what he can do in August and September.
