The Reds have now acquired the first of the two players to be named in the Adam Dunn trade. 24-year old switch hitting catcher Wilkin Castillo is now on the Reds. Castillo can also play any position on the field defensively which will make him a very valuable player in the National League. He was the #14 prospect in the entire D-Backs system coming into this season according to Baseball America. Castillo has played in 104 games in AAA-Ball this season and he is 98 for 386 (.254 avg, .663 OPS) with 40 runs scored, 6 homers, 47 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. The Reds will likely call up Castillo when rosters expand and they will play him everywhere. This was a nice player for the Reds to get in the Dunn trade.
