The Cincinnati Reds place Mike Leake on the D.L.

The Reds have placed 22-year old rookie pitcher Mike Leake on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder fatigue. Leake has pitched in 24 games (22 starts) this year for the Reds and he is 8-4 with a 4.23 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. Those are pretty darn good numbers for a kid who never pitched one game in the minor leagues. The Reds have recalled 23-year old righty swinging 3B/OF Juan Francisco to replace Leake on the active roster. Francisco played in 12 games earlier this year for the Reds and he was 7 of 22 (.318 avg, .757 OPS) with 1 run scored and 5 RBIs.
