Miguel Cairo has been a secret weapon off the bench for the Cincinnati Reds this year

36-year old righty swinging infielder Miguel Cairo seemed to be a longshot to make the opening day roster when he signed a minor league deal over the winter with the Reds. Not only did Cairo make the team but he has been a key off the bench for the Reds. Cairo has played in 76 games for the Reds so far this year and he is 49 of 168 (.292 avg, .782 OPS) with 27 runs scored, 4 homers, 25 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. The Reds struck gold in signing Cairo and I think he still has a lot to offer them the rest of this year.
