The Cincinnati Reds have re-signed catcher Corky Miller
The Reds have re-signed 35-year old righty swinging catcher Corky Miller to a minor league deal. Miller played in 49 games in AAA-ball for the Reds last year and he was 29 for 145 (.200 avg, .652 OPS) with 21 runs scored, 3 homers, 11 RBIs and 1 stolen base. He last played in the majors back in 2010 with the Reds. Miller has now played in 199 games in his first 10 years in the majors and he is 95 for 504 (.188 avg, .570 OPS) with 41 runs scored, 11 homers, 59 RBIs and 1 stolen base. The Reds will likely stash Miller in AAA in 2012 to work with the young pitchers on the rise for the Reds.
